One Year of Creativity, Business, and 44,609 Photographs.

It’s been almost one year since I got my Flickr Pro account and its expires in 3 days. It’s been a year since I took my last shot through my film camera. It’s been a year since I got my first DSLR camera.  It’s been wonderful year. A year of smiles, beauty, passion, LOL, cheeeezzyyy…

I learned more than I ever thought I would in one year. Whenever I see other photographers and photographs on the Internet, I always try to spot what kind of camera lens and settings they used. I’m not the most experienced photographer, but I’m still trying to really figure out how a camera works exactly and how to capture the perfect photography. Not the basics like ISO, aperture, f-stops, etc. I want to learn the small things, like what type of lens create the least noticeable chromatic aberration and how, or what exact angles for the sun is best for a photo, and at what locations are best for flashes to be in when taking a more natural portrait. Photography is all about how one plays with light and I’m still trying to figure out how to capture that light in a way no one can but simply pressing on the shutter release button.

I love taking photos. No, I’m not photography major, I’m a Computer Engineering Major. I do this for fun, it’s something I can do to relax, a hobby. I love the feeling of making those around me to have fun, and smile. That smile always gets me, no matter where I see it. So why do I like doing photography? Well, I love to see people smile.

I’m not the greatest photographer, and compared to many photographers in San Diego, I’m probably just that piece of gum on the bottom of your shoe. AC Bajet, Jaryl Cabuco, JR Pecache, Mario Espinosa, Jose Valdez, Bradley Nidea, Calvin Ha, Brian Figueroa, Ryan Rivera are all great videographers, filmmakers, photographers and artists who I greatly respect. Their art inspire and motivate me to 1-up myself. But there is something a little different about me. I’m trigger-happy.

There are currently 44,609 photographs and 62,000+ views with about 1,000 that were not taken by me on my Flickr, which includes:

  • 38 AB Samahan Events
  • 35 Photo shoots
  • 13 Events
  • 10 Studio shoots
  • 8 Debuts and Birthdays
  • 1 Engagement shoot
  • 1 Pre-Engagement shoot

I’m not just a photographer; I’m also a businessman, an event photographer, which not many photographers my age can accomplish as efficiently as I. And as of right now, I have 3 debuts, 2 photo shoots and 1 event to shoot in the next 4 weeks. I have no idea how these people found me and emailed me to take photos for them, but I’m always happy to record memories with my light-capturing device. I’ll have to be balancing this with 16 units, AB Samahan, and Apple’s strict work scheduling. So far, it has not been as stressful as I though.

I just want to thank everyone who supported me the last 365 days, because every single one of them made me the artist I am and without them, I wouldn’t be here typing this. I hope that every photo and memory that I help record will have someone look back, reminisce, and smile.

“The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.”

It’s not the government that will kill the internet, it’s the “Entertainment Industry” or any other media distribution company that support SOPA. Hate them, not the government. Everyone is hating the wrong people.

1 week ago 7 notes

It’s not the Government you should hate, it’s the Companies who are lobbying for SOPA

Don’t hate on the government because of SOPA, hate those who support it! It’s because of these companies that this bill exist! If you really want to make a difference, boycott these companies who support and lobby for SOPA and contact your congressmen. Even President Obama is against SOPA! Spread the word.

Here’s a tip for the do-it-yourself crowd:
Go to your computer’s Start menu, and either go to
“run” or just search for “cmd.”
Open it up, and type in “ping [website address],”

Once you have the IP for a website, all you really
need to do is enter it like you would
a normal URL nd hit enter/press go. Typing in
 “208.85.240.231”
should bring you to the front page of AO3,
for example, just as typing “174.121.194.34/dashboard”
should bring you straight to your Tumblr dashboard.
Since we’re obviously bracing for the worst case scenario
which would involve you not being
able to access the internet regularly, you should,
 save this list.

Dear Tumblr-ers, -ites, ettes, and whatever other things you may prefer,

Please reblog the crap out of this. Add to it if you feel there is stuff necessary but missing.

P.S. Thank you to the lovely who wrote this up.

Reblogged for future reference.

THIS IS BULLSHIT. website address=IP! You can’t just crack into the DNS like that.

^^

And don’t hate on the people in DC, hate on those who support it! The government is just a middle man in all this. It’s companies like Nike, Disney, News Corp., NFL, and Sony that we need to call “ass-fucks”.
